Kairos

Kairos is a solo exhibition of abstract paintings that is an immersion into a moment of highest tension, culmination, and inner revelation. The title refers to the ancient Greek concept of kairos, denoting a special qualitative time, an elusive instant when all elements come together and that very decisive moment takes place. The exposition features abstract canvases that capture this fleeting moment at the intersection of color, dynamics, and materiality. The core of the concept is not only the painterly gesture, but also the physical embodiment of the moment's elusiveness through a unique technique. Each work is covered with a thick, voluminous layer of epoxy resin, where this glossy barrier acts as a piece of ice or a futuristic information disk that has preserved the very essence of the experience inside. The resin physically stops time on the canvas, creating a deep optical lens effect that refracts light and seemingly preserves the emotion in its pure form, protecting it from the outside world and allowing the viewer to look into the frozen boiling point of feelings. This thick coating becomes the final point, that very decisive stroke which completes the work, seals the chaos of lines, and brings the composition to absolute harmony, turning the canvas into a monolithic artifact. A continuation of this idea is found in the ceramic vessels featured in the exhibition, whose plasticity, shimmering gloss, and deep color reflect this same frozen energy and create a parallel sensation of a stopped moment. The viewer is offered a physical sensation of time, the opportunity to see how a fleeting emotion acquires flesh beneath the thickness of transparent gloss or within the smooth curves of clay, and a space for participation that invites one to catch their own kairos, peer into the depths of the icy lens, and find a resonance there with the frozen energy of the moment. Kairos is a manifesto of the right time, when the instant is captured forever and the invisible internal state becomes material.
